>> Very few areas can host 50,000 people, which is the number that attend a national political convention. <<
Here’s how utterly full of crap you are:
Oklahoma City Arena has a capacity of 20,000 people, larger than the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. And it’s immediately adjacent to Cox Convention Center, which hosts another 13,000 people. Tulsa also has a larger arena, BOK Center, which continually won “Venue of the Year” by Pollstar six times straight (2009-2015). So even if it were in Oklahoma, Cleveland would still finish third in best convention centers/arenas in the state.
>> “Cheer up: Texas will be a swing state in 2020 and the convention can be held in Ft. Worth.” <<
Is that you, Wendy Davis?
What ever makes you think that hosting a convention helps win swing states? Democrats took a majority in the Tampa metro area for the first time since 1976. (Tampa itself normally votes Democratic.) Do you think a Leftist nutjob police chief letting the revolutionary mobs run wild over the convention will help the Republicans’ image? Do you think that the locals will be so thankful for attracting the riots, even in the long odds that they blame the rioters, not the “provokers?”
Back off. You have no reason to go crazy.
