He is working. At 72 I hope to be retired.
How does one have conservative views and do something like that?
When they complain about these things it’s from the bitterness of having done to them what they feel only they should be able to do to others, ie. just desserts.
So you voted for him, now claim to be conservative because you can’t get an acting gig?
I have news for you, Mr. Ermey(I’m not going to call you “Gunny”. You left the Marine Corps as a Staff Sargean)t; Unless “Full Metal Jacket” is remade, there is no acting job for you. You got lucky with that one and have done your level best to play GySgt Hartman every single time that there’s a camera pointed at you. You were awesome in that role. It’s done.
You don’t seem to be a great actor and being as you left the USMC in 1972, you probably have very little idea of what the Marine Corps is like today.
Retire.
Nicest guy as long as you’re not in boot camp under him.
Being in boot camp with him would be a rough experience - but you’d be well trained, and that’s for sure.
USMC made him an honorary Gunnery Sgt. after he left the corps. (although, you never really leave)
Just keep your nose clean. He’d have lots of f@#$-ups to occupy his time.
