agree

poor excuse to make it look like a simple accident.

An explosive that will blow off an entire foot is not a home made toy.

“I don’t believe this was a homemade fireworks project.

The blast was close to where the funeral for Holocaust survivor and Nobel winner Eli Wiesel was taking place on Sunday morning.

Any sentient being can recognize this as a mooselimb jihad IED. “

Yet the MSM are wall to wall about a Trump star of David

7 PM ET news on WMAL NYPD or FBI guy said no evidence of terrorism

Though I have no insight on where this is going ... we all know that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

And you've reminded me of a similar radio report. It was on WABC radio, the morning of September 11, 2001.

The second plane had just hit the World Trade Center when the news announcer on WABC read a bulletin from either the NYPD or the FBI: "No evidence of terrorism."

It’s bizarre to call it a phony pyrotechnic if it was in a paper bag, which means disguised as trash. Which probably means the guy just bumped or moved it with his foot because people don’t usually step on bags-unless it looked like a flat empty bag, in which case it was certainly disguised as trash. A bomb in search of a random victim.

It has been years since I regarded the MSM as "sentient beings."       :)

“It was a homemade device. They probably tried to light it on Friday night, but it didn’t go off because of the rain,” a source said. “[Investigators] found wet matches near it. It probably just went off because of the friction of him stepping on it.”

“Officials also confirmed that the tiny explosive was in a brown bag and did not appear to be designed to be pressure-sensitive.

“There is some forensic evidence that indicates that it was not meant go off by someone stepping on it,” Torre said. “It was there longer than a day.”

I just read that, within an hour, he had replaced the meme with one that used a circle. So I feel better now, he took it down but replaced it.

For what it's worth:

Law-enforcement sources told The Post that whoever left the device was likely not trying to cause any intentional harm to anyone.

“It was a homemade device. They probably tried to light it on Friday night, but it didn’t go off because of the rain,” a source said. “[Investigators] found wet matches near it. It probably just went off because of the friction of him stepping on it.”

the fact that they said it was “tiny” implies there were more of them. In order to know the size, you’d have to see it. If it exploded you would not have the explosive any more.

the report I read was that there was a shock wave that hit the guy walking with the victim. That implies more than home made “fireworks”.

They are lying to us. Nothing new.

I remember hearing that same bulletin on the radio that morning. In the past, some have expressed disbelief that even on September 11, there was a "no-evidence-of-terrorism" announcement. I suspect it is more believable after what we have seen of the government and the msm since that time.

I don’t know. Without seeing a crime scene photo finding matches nearby could be anything. So we have someone with enough chemistry knowledge to make the thing, but dumb enough to use matches (and not a lighter) to try and set it off? And why leave it there?

I agree, the story is full of inconsistencies.

A “phony” one that works BETTER than a real one huh.

People are pussy footing around here.

Maybe they intended for some curious soul to find it, and attempt to dry it and re-light it only to get an explosion that he did not count on.

interesting this:
Hinds told The Post that cops had been grilling him for hours about the incident — and were at one point, implying that it was their fault — even though he repeatedly claimed to not have any fireworks.
“It’s ridiculous. They’ve been asking me questions for two hours,” he said. “They want us to admit that we were playing with fireworks, but we really weren’t. We didn’t have anything on us explosive at all. But I know how it goes. If it was just us f–king around with fireworks, it would be a lot easier for them. But it’s not. And that’s actually really scary. Why would we do that?!”

I'm still wondering how somebody trying to make their own firecrackers made something powerful enough to blow a guy's foot off.
And then they have this conflicting statement:
Officials said that whoever constructed the phony pyrotechnic was well-versed in how explosives work.
“Clearly, I would say this is someone that had knowledge of chemistry, but you don’t have to be anything more than good with computers to get enough knowledge of chemistry to be able to create some of this type of material from readily available materials, unfortunately,” Torre said.

I suppose it's possible that someone went to a lot of trouble to make homemade firecrackers (which they either knew a lot about explosives or they just read it on the internet), but didn't think to bring a lighter and also didn't wait for a dry night, and then gave up and left them there, inside a paper bag.

Maybe. I think it worked exactly as intended.

Illegal large ones can blow off fingers. M80s can do it. You pack eight together and you can get an equivalent of a stick of dynamite in power.

Cause ya friction is a much better ignition source than open flame. Especially the friction from an rubber like sole found on most shoes.

Seriously, if anyone buys that.....well lets just say if you buy that story, you should do mankind a favor and not reproduce.
