Every American should go to Gettysburg and walk the battlefield. The Round Tops, Devil's Den, and the cornfield to the high water mark of the Confederacy. Spirits abound. History is being rewritten before our very eyes. Teach your children well.

Haven’t made it to Gettysburg yet, but have been to Antietam several times. Spirits are strong there & I’m not normally into that sort of thing. I an deeply moved/affected every visit.

Been there many years ago, It's awesome. Sadly developers are clamoring like hell to build a hotel and casino on part of the battle field. Other Civil War sites are suffering the same fate. If you want to do something join this organization:(I did.)Civil War Trust. Here's their web site: Civilwar.org Donate what you can and save history.

My sister and her husband work on the Gettysburg battlefield and most of my extended family lives in or near the town. I don’t care how often I am there, I still get still get a very uneasy feeling as soon as I step on the grounds.

Just got home (on McPherson Ridge) from the ranger walk walking the route of Longstreet/Pickett’s advance.
