COLORADO CITY TO STOP SELLING ICE CREAM AT POOLS, PARKS
AP ^ | July 1, 2016

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Boulder residents will no longer be able to cool off with an ice cream cone by the pool because the city has discontinued the sweet treat as a vending option at all Parks and Recreation facilities.

The city dropped ice cream cones, bars and sandwiches in an effort to cut down on sugary, unhealthy snacks, The Daily Camera reported (http://bit.ly/29c8YoD). City-run facilities can only sell treats that satisfy a series of nutritional standards, meaning chips and other junk food also left snack stands this year.

That's where my birth city of Seattle is.

They've "unexpectantly" run out of tax revenue by driving businesses elsewhere due to burdensome regulations.

Now they're proposing a county-wide "crap tax" to tax septic systems in rural areas, LOL!

ah, com’n Freepers, 81 posts and nobody’s figured it out yet? Ice cream is not halal. Alcohol in flavorings, gelatin fillers, that kind of stuff. Minority rules - if Islamists can’t eat it, nobody can!

I’d find a place close by to park and buy an Ice Cream Van.

(Back on Fathers Day I read the best Dad saying ever ... “Kids... if the Music is playing that means they are out of Ice Cream”)

**** “what a friggin country we’re living in....” ****

I live in my own Country, they haven’t taken me out yet, I have in the past offered to take them out.

State Trooper across the street likes me, he is young and hasn’t fully accepted the Them vs Us, but he is close, I expect him to turn on me at any time. His Wife may have input but I think they even think Wife vs Us as well.
Who knows... I just hope he moves soon.

Good message for the ‘Mooch’ Molon Labe

Saw an ‘older’ TCM movie starting off with some cowboys (maybe back around E Flynn days) riding throught the highlands, scenery all over the place, animals run unemcumbered, just serenity in a bottle.

After some ‘dazzling scenes’ (before color so one had to use imagination etc)

Anyway they are just trooping along and come upon a tree with a rustler(?) strung up to it.

Star -”Ah boys, good to be back in civilization again”

MAN- the ONLY animal that can kill from a distance.

When ice cream is outlawed, only outlaws will have ice cream.

Guns don’t kill people. Ice cream kills people.

Without ice cream, fame and fortune have no meaning.

Maybe....the water park (municipally operated) I go to they give out a different color wrist band each day. I’m sure they recycle the colors but I don’t go there often enough to figure it out....

You can leave the park and go to a convenience store, fast food restaurant, or if you’ve got a cooler in your vehicle you can go there.

Now they do have refreshment stands inside the park...yeah, the prices are high....but they are convenient.

This is Kentucky though...however if it were Colorado I could see them doing away with the wrist bands and then forcing you to pay to get back in, if you choose to leave the park for any reason.
