I apologize if you took what I said as a screed, that wasn't my intent. My starting point is electoral votes, followed closely by the fact that Hawaii has a sovereignty movement.

Without Texas' electoral votes to balance out the insanity currently coming from so many of the states, what do you expect to see in the future for the 49 states once Texas is gone?

Interesting thought experiment, and of course it has been taken as gospel that if/when Texas turns, so does Conservatism at the presidential level.

But you are speaking of a Texit, which at present seems too far-fetched. More likely would be a states-rights movement that would bring us back to an earlier Federalism.

Hawaii has a sovereignty movement, and were we to see a Clinton presidency, there might be sufficient time to witness the birth of a Hawaiian Nation, though this is doubtful, as the sovereignty groups squabble and have been squabbling for decades, rather like Arabs.

It seems you are offering Hawaii as appeasement. I don't think this will work, and I, along with many of my fellow residents, would fight this with all of our might. The sovereignty movement represents no more than 10% of the population, by the way.

while there are plenty of chinese and americans of chinese descent in Hawaii—there are also currently too many Americans of Japanese, and Phillipine descent in Hawaii who would not like Hawaii to go to the Chinese. The recent arrogance of the chinese may even be grating on the big latin population in hawaii.

that’s assuming that the whites in hawaii are such turkey’s that they would drown in a rainstorm by looking up. that’s also assuming that the hawaiian natives are dumber. so both groups would roll over for the chinese in order to get trinkets and beads.
