To: Hot Tabasco

A house becomes a boat anchor in areas experiencing economic decline. Can’t sell it, couldn’t do much with the proceeds even if you could sell it. Walking on a mortgage doesn’t just leave you with damaged credit in most states, you’ll be left with a judgement for the balance owed above and beyond the sale price at foreclosure auction. So, what do people do, when they’re trapped like this? Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, hoping for better, but it never comes. Make do with part time jobs, end up on some form of public assistance out of sheer necessity, slowly spiraling the drain. I have a great deal of sympathy for these people, it could easily be many of us. I see it happening out in the small towns away from cities even here.

You make a very compassionate statement which finally exemplifies what this site and compassionate conservatism is all about.........

Unfortunately there are many purists here who will likely swoop in and start the flame war. I'm going to ignore them.........
