Hi! Oh yeah, I did lots of measuring. Not looking forward to changing the rod since I’ll need to fill the holes and repaint. Luckily I have paint that is the exact match. I am reducing the size of the rod, as it extends 18 inches too far on each end. Not to mention it is 40 years old. Curtains are around 20 years old. I am getting the newer grommet style of curtain and my rod will not work with them.
The window is oversized and I want to minimize it, in width anyway. I can knock off 3 feet of width. I will go with the standard (in stock at Bed Bath and Beyond) 84 inch height curtain panels. I need up to 6 of them. Have lots of coupons I can use!
I will probably buy them today and install them starting tomorrow and Monday.
