I always liked Isham Jones’ recording of this tune. Especially the non-vocal take, which was concurrently recorded for overseas release by Brunswick. Really captures that distinct musical mood of circa-1930.

Sam Lanin, who led the Troubadours also recorded my favorite version of "Yankee Rose," a big hit in 1927, but it disappeared from Youtube. For some reason, recordings of "Yankee Rose" don't seem to last long on Youtube, but you can click
here to listen to a good version by the Revelers, a vocal quartet.
