These candidates might criticize Trump by name and attempt to avoid any association but they know that his policies are popular and are trying to ride his coat tails. Political ads in Ohio decrying free trade, etc have been around since the steel industry collapsed in the early 1980s. This is nothing new.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Portman ads on China. Also saw his opponent hitting him on being a friend to China.
Now Portman is going with heroin ads which Trump made a big deal about in New Hampshire.
