Salt Lake City’s experience in hosting the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Games will mean streamlined transportation and access to hotels and venues, said Tom Brown, founder of the NVWG and Games director for Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Lodging will be in close proximity to Games’ venues, and the transportation provided had a role in Paralympic transportation in 2002, he said. The annual Block Party will take place in Olympic Village, he added.

I'm leaving, with my son's assistance, for Salt Lake City, to compete in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games

I will be participating in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and 800 meters.

Also shot put, javelin and discus.

And of course shooting air rifle and compound bow.

This will be a tough year for me - playing hurt, with a partially torn rotator cuff

I suspect when I through, it will be torn but good!

But I was never one to let pain keep me out of the game!

Final results - 6 Gold & 2 Silver !

4 Gold in track - 100, 200, 400 & 800 meters. Gold in archery and Gold in air rifle. Silver in shot put and Silver in javelin.
