the #nobillnobreak whiners are still on the floor of the House (4:00 am Central Time)

Posted on 06/23/2016 2:04:14 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Still being cheered on social media, the infants in the Democrat party are still supposedly on the floor of the House.

A "sit in" is going on.

May the backlash to this stunt be tremendous.

And Paul Ryan better not cave.

Hasn’t he already caved by letting them shut the House down with their lawless anarchy instead of shutting off the power and the tv cameras that they are playing to?

These piles of used food are sure devoted to the idea of destroying our rights and guaranteeing more victims, aren’t they?

I turned on CNN at the top of the hour and that's all they are talking about. Nothing about Trump's speech yesterday. CNN’s showing their true colors again.

Gee, I wonder if they are capturing the minds and hearts of the criminals when they are doing this?

The C-span cameras were turned off last I heard, as per the rules they all agreed to when this Congress began. Some live-streaming entity is being used by the Democrats. I understood that Congress adjourned as planned and wasn’t shut down. Am I misunderstanding the situation?

Ryan was decent enough to leave the lights on, unlike Pelosi. This should be pointed out if someone starts hailing the protesting pols as heroic. Our people had to use flashlights to get their point across.

Of course, we've become a nation of whiny, petulant children. I doubt many will see much of anything disgraceful enough on the part of these Democrats to raise an eyebrow about.

You have it right. No C-SPAN, but continuous coverage via an alternative source of video. The House was adjourned subject to the call of the chair. C-SPAN is only allowed to cover the chambers when they are in session.

The sit-in protesters abandoned their posts 4 am Eastern or thereabout - I woke up briefly around 3:30 EDT, and CNN was reporting the protesters had left. I suspect, as others do, that the sit-in will occupy the press for a few days, because the message is gun control, and the press wants more gun control.

I don’t know. I fell asleep early and am trying to catch up on it.

Hahahahaha, ROTFL, LOL. Hahahahahaha. The protesters are being lauded by their compatriots in the press. The public is amused. Any negative backlash will be used, by the press, to bring up the underlying argument, that the GOP is a bunch of violent, lawless nuts.

Thank you. I was going on what I’d heard yesterday afternoon and wasn’t sure if something had changed.

I don't know if the exact timing of the adjournment was planned. The press has allowed the impression that the adjournment was triggered and caused by commencement of the sit-in.

From all appearances, the presiding officer was "ready," called adjournment subject to call of the chair, C-SPAN was shut down, and , etc., immediately as the sit-in commenced. I saw nothing in the way of surprise or resistance at the start of the sit-in.

But you have a good point. Maybe the adjournment was in the regular order of business. However, I think some planned government project for Zika cronies was held up (was going to be debated and decided yesterday), and the sit-in had at least a slightly disruptive effect.

CNN (Chris Cuomo in particular) is reporting that the ,b>Republicans cut off C-SPAN (viewer can infer what they wish from that lie). The video at the top of the hour shows the sit in as being still underway, and CNN encourages constituents to call the House switchboard to express their desire for more barriers to the transfer of firarms from one person to another.

Ahhh, so, overnight, some vote was held on Zika, and the House adjourned until July 5th.

They figure that because this is the summer and folks are doing vacation time.
