I like to reference the renaissance Age when the earth warmth up. It was the era of the greatest advancement of mankind, the arts, the education, more food, the world was bustling. Why? because the earth warmed up and not cars or burning of fossil fuels caused it.
I also like talking about why the warming of the earth is good; less people freeze to death, more food can be grown so less poverty, warmth equals less fossil fuels consumed and a warmer planet is a happier planet

Absolutely spot on.
When do living things die off? When it is too cold for them.
When do living things thrive? When it is warm and there is plenty of food and fresh water.
This is why I’ve never understood the Hysterions going on about a warmer environment making it stop raining. Seems like it would be just the opposite, but I’m a Contrarion so I am weird like that.
