The ceremony was probably supposed to be a silent display (only music in the background, no words)
A man in civvies stands up and a uniform IMMEDIATELY stands beside/behind him ... and seems to be telling him to sit down
Until the civvies start to speak
The civvies started out describing "Our flag" and describes color etc
Three front row uniforms stand up and one is told to stand down .. a fourth (now three total) joins and the civvies is forced off the stage
ONLY THEN OFF CAMERA, IS THERE ANY MENTION OF CHRIST (NOT GOD)
I conclude there was an invitation to speak and a copy was requested
The copy was submitted
The speech was rejected for language and an offer to allow the speech without certain language
The civvies refused
The speech was allowed but the men in the room were alerted
IN A WAY ... this was staged
No, read the article. The retiree specifically asked for the speaker. He is renown for his delivery. The ceremony is decidedly NOT silent. We perform it countless times.
