I've had issues with sleep for a lot of my life, off and on. Currently I have the "can't stay asleep, can't go back to sleep" form of what my doctor has diagnosed as insomnia. Mild to moderate Sleep Apnea appears to be at least a contributory factor.
A tincture of Passion Flower and Valerian Root gave my mother in law the first all night’s sleep she’s had in years, It really does the job. Also, a lack of vitamin B1 can cause your mind to not shut off at night.
Welcome to the club - and it’s a big, big club.
Yeah, I have been experimenting with Melatonin and dosages, I am convinced it helps, but ain’t the cure I need.
I’m going to go check on the machine next week.
Wow, no thank goodness mine is mild compared to that. I think I got caught sleep walking one time, when I was a child, otherwise that hasn’t been a problem.
Hmmm, maybe some music, talking keeps me awake. I’ve tried to sleep with the radio on in the background and it does not work for me.
I bought a couple of sleep masks off Amazon, one irritates my eyelashes and the other is hot, so maybe I don’t have the right one yet.
Lots of good info here. I am fortunate that our bedroom is very dark, only gets outside light if I leave the blinds open in my bathroom, down the hall, and then only early in the AM.
I understand completely, this parallels a lot of my experiences with this.
Very interesting, good info. Thank you!
CPAP and no alcohol has helped me sleep likearly a dead mam. It’s worth it.
