They piled all their political capital into one objective, passing their version of destruction of the best health care delivery system in the world, known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Just about everything in that title is an outright lie, except for the date of its passage. It neither protects patients nor provides affordable care.
But it was a very successful orgasm on the part of the Democrat majority in both the House and Senate at the time, and a testament to the “persuasive” powers of a truly tone-deaf Occupant of the Oval Orifice.
