That’s something I’ve seen varying opinions of. 1,000 rounds per gun sounds good.
I was also considering 10 full-capacity (e.g. 17-rnd for Glock, 30-rnd for AR15, etc) magazines for each weapon, with the idea of a loadout of 5 magazines, and 5 more loaded magazines in storage.
Right now I’m a bit shy of that... closer to 200-300 rounds per gun.

Exactly my thought - buy ammo, it will be restricted. Don’t buy any huge quantity in one lot. Case of 500 is fine, ten cases of 500 will get you on the watch list. It takes time to build an arsenal. Buy from neighbors, friends, family.
