Interesting thought. What happens if a terrorist accidentally hits a prominent politician or his family? Will Congress show outrage and force action? Or continue to blame guns and lone wolves?

The government is determined to control the public, and it will disarm the public, period. If the targets are not average people, if the targets are celebrities, politicians, any government functionary, the government response to disarm the public will be swift, and it will be violent.
