Anyhow she’d probably chide you for saying damn here :-)
Anyhow I wrote something, maybe doggerel, but it was my tribute to the memory of someone I didn’t even know about until she had died.
Christina Grimmie,
Suffused with joy,
Where did you go?
Life was no toy,
But a chance to share hope
With each girl and boy.
You’re singing now beyond the pearly gates.
They shot you on earth, but heaven’s love awaits
All souls on earth that on Jesus put their faith.
Christina Grimmie,
You died so young.
It scarcely had started
That golden tongue
When you were mowed down
So many songs unsung.
You’re singing now beyond the pearly gates.
They shot you on earth, but heaven’s love awaits
All souls on earth that on Jesus put their faith.
Christina Grimmie,
A warning you made
To the complacent folk
All on vanity laid
That for a single tomorrow
The price can’t be paid.
You’re singing now beyond the pearly gates.
They shot you on earth, but heaven’s love awaits
All souls on earth that on Jesus put their faith.
Christina Grimmie,
You sang on a stage
With “Before You Exit”
And your soul did engage
With Him living forever
And from age to age.
You’re singing now beyond the pearly gates.
They shot you on earth, but heaven’s love awaits
All souls on earth that on Jesus put their faith.
Christina Grimmie,
We thank God for you
That in the face of evil
Your faith remained true
And the world was shown
How its faith to renew.
You’re singing now beyond the pearly gates.
They shot you on earth, but heaven’s love awaits
All souls on earth that on Jesus put their faith.
That’s very nice.
