The American Dream is possible for anyone who embraces the work ethic and values system that made this country the envy of the world. The white leftists can’t exist in a world where “colored” people are individuals who can succeed without their assistance. They want people who have the mindset of the Black Democrats in the Congressional Black Caucus and look to big government for their existence. People like Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain and Ben Carson had to be attacked because they dared to drift away from the Democratic plantation. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called a sellout, a traitor and other assorted names when I renounced being a Democrat. That party is so patronizing and demeaning to anyone who isn’t white, and sadly many of my fellow Americans of color refuse to acknowledge it.

I hear you. Johnson's "Great Society" was very effective in destroying the culture and family structure of those of color and the constant cries of racism have been heard and bought by too many. I grew up in Rochester NY in the '50s and '60s and saw an amazing turn of events from out mostly Black neighborhood being a very nice place to live, with the Black community more likely to have pride in their homes and taking care of business and family to the race riots of the '60s where many of our neighbors and friends suddenly became "cool" and prompted my Dad to move us to the suburbs.

Mississippi gets a bad rap these days - along the coast, there are more deadbeat Whites than Blacks and many have suffered what you say has happened to you among those who choose personal responsibility and taking care of their own affairs as responsible citizens.

I saw many Blacks carrying Romney signs during the last election cycle and now a number of them beat the rest of us with Trumps signs - I choose to judge a man by his actions and those who oppose the decent citizens prefer to judge men by what others tell them to do.

Be well my FRiend - I have many friends that know exactly what you are talking about and who epitomize the term "Salt of the Earth".

In Christ....
