At the end of the war we cancelled more orders for battleships and carriers than all of those countries built, put together. Russia’s industrial might was built on the lend lease. We send them more locomotives and trucks and food than they ever could build or grow on their own even if Germany had not invaded. Even all three of them combined would not have beaten us to nuclear weapons or the long range bombers to deliver them.
