General Zhuckov arose from these joint trainings, to become the best general of WWII.Best RUSSIAN general or best general? I find it hard to believe any Russian general was the best of World War II.

Best general. Read what he did to the Japanese in Manchuria, circa 1937 I think it was. Then review his destruction of 6th Army at Stalingrad and so forth.

He would rate up there. He destroyed the bulk of the German war machine. His plan at Stalingrad was as bold as Patton. His ability to keep his own neck was a political feat equal to Eisenhower.
In the spectrum of generals in the world during that conflict it is difficult. But he would clearly be in the top tier.
