Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, I studied this in school and in college, the lesson is never make a deal with the devil, in this case the other devil.

General Zhuckov arose from these joint trainings, to become the best general of WWII. Even so, I am a bigger fan of Manstein and Guderian.

The left to this day is still allied with Nazism when convenient, not, when inconvenient. The Soviets and the left simply are fascists not quite out of the closet.

Ian Johnson's Masters thesis is also available on line. It provides more detail about the armor development at Kama. It's called "The Secret School of War: The Soviet-German Tank Academy at Kama"

It's a very interesting read if this part of history holds your attention.
