Their mistake was in not adapting to the times. They needed a Mike Brown 3/4 pound Gentle Giant burger on the menu. And how about a Ferguson Flaming BBQ night every Friday after sundown. And of course the Looters’ Special, comes with a bag of rocks to help them do their jobs.

Maybe HRC and Bubba will open a vegan restaurant powered by a windmill and staffed by convicted felons.

“$8.50 for a burger combo... Not a bad deal.”

It ain’t McDonald’s. In urban areas, you make money selling greasy food late at night or breakfast late in the morning. Sophisticated urbanites like chain restaurants. I knew a guy that had a chicken stand in Winston-Salem east of 52 (code). He said he would make money until a Church’s opened up nearby.

A clean, well-run Church’s is a great place for fried chicken. The challenge is finding one that is clean and well-run. They do exist. I enjoyed eating at the one on Spring Garden in Greensboro for years. Haven’t been there in quite a while so I can’t vouch for it now, but it was decent then.

There is a really good Vietnamese place near there. The old Guilford Mills plant is now an International Shopping Center.

Mountain Fried Chicken in Winston-Salem off 52 on Akron Dr is the best fried chicken ever.

Hops Burger Bar on Spring Garden was listed as one of the top hamburger joints in the nation. http://myfox8.com/2015/07/01/greensboro-restaurant-serves-best-burgers-in-the-nation-tripadvisor-says/

I’ve had Mountain Fried Chicken before, but it came from the one in Clemmons. It was good but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it. Last time I ate at a restaurant in the Spring Garden vicinity was at Seoul Garden, which would obviously be Korean. Enjoyed that.

More likely when they opened they signed a one year lease, and gave a personal guaranty. They stuck it out to avoid a lawsuit, and then left. I bet they reopen in Maplewood, Brentwood or Webster Groves.

A white sale? I’m sure that would be considered racist these days. And don’t even talk about sheets.

It is sad that Ferguson has the reputation of such violence and crime after the Michael Brown incident. Many of the residential areas have beautiful homes and landscapes which put cookie-cutter sprawl neighborhoods to shame. It was a suburb where working class blacks moved to avoid the crime-ridden city as well as many whites till remain.

The main problem in the “North County” region of St. Louis are the various apartment complexes which are full of riff-raff and a hub for crime. If I remember, this is where Michael Brown resided.

All by candle-light...I mean burning tire/cop-car. Def. got the ‘outdoorsy-feel’, when the windows were broken-in.

Could go on all day /s
