If the situation is really that dire, why can’t they get back to basics - start farming whole scale? I know I can survive as long as there is land and water. And I am not a farmer.

I lived in Venezuela for two years back in the 70s. It was a corrupt nation in relationship to the government. No one was hungry then, Many are hungry today.

If Venezuela is lucky a coup d’etat by the military will happen and a military dictatorship will happen and perhaps democracy after the dictatorship.

Right now a lovely country full of good people is destined for an internal war that will kill many. Oddly enough a military coup is the best answer hopefully followed by democracy.

I think Venezuela will make it but it will be after much blood.
