An article I read said the shooter was white, but a few paragraphs later said his name was Mainar Sarkar, which I think is Indian and not exactly white.

Many media sources are halting the practice of naming terrorists/criminals in an attempt to reduce their fame and/or reduce opportunity for copycat acts.

While noble on the surface, the issue is the VAST majority of these kinds of attacks are done by radicalized Muslim jihadists. It would truly be a disservice if we were not to be regularly reminded of the danger that Muslims in our country represent.

From what I can see Mainak Sarkar, the shooter, is extensively covered on the Internet. No coverup that I can see. Now I don’t know how the majors are covering it because between Breaking News and its links he is covered as is his Facebook posts about the victim.
