My mother, aged 95, who passed away this past December was a Roosevelt democrat. Of course I loved her anyway. Love transcends politics every time.

I suppose that is true if you are of that mindset.
I, on the other hand, told my whole lib family to never contact me again. I told them that about 16 years ago. Thankfully, I have not heard from them and I am happy about it. The way of life in this country is more important to me than familial love.
