It's part of History. No need to censor that part. That said, Roots had already been made 40 years ago. No need to do it again. Unless there's a new story to tell.

That's true enough. What bothers me is the explicitness of the abuse. So I guess it's a balancing act. Go too far with showing the abuse, and you'll be sowing seeds of hatred.
