The man was obviously trained with a weapon. He hit the helicopter not once, but five times AND he hit a policeman in the chest SEVERAL times, but his ballistic plate and vest saved him. Trained.

Ok, so he was a veteran, they were, perhaps, reluctant to release info on Memorial Day weekend - still not forgivable for authorities to withhold this information for even one moment.
Now, I’d like to know who shot John Ulmschneider on April 16th, 2016, and why his identity is being protected by authorities, and why the press has so little curiosity about who killed him.
What were the circumstance whereby the paramedic was sent to the house? I wonder?

His brother called them and told them the shooter was diabetic and had recently blacked out and may be in distress.
They broke in the door and he shot the two paramedics 4 times each, and his brother at least once, saying he thought they were home invaders.
He was arrested and quickly released. We do not know the identity of the brother or the shooter.
If the brother had called, you’d think he would have answered the door.

There are a lot of questions that would be asked by the press if they actually cared to ask them.
If you or I had done this, we’d not be granted anonymity, regardless of whether we were charged with a crime, which in this case, as far as I am able to determine, no charges have been filed.
Still, my curiosity is piqued because the information is missing - and the shooter was released so quickly.
Thats another thing that wouldn’t have happened if it were you or me.
With a little detective work, you could probably check the scanner traffic for that day, find the address where they were dispatched and figure out who lives there.
Showed the shot pattern to two snipers at my sisters MD party today, they said yeah, he’s one of ours, out-in-blaze-of-glory PTSD subspecies.
Yeah, when they described the shooting, I gathered enough information to know he was a trained shooter.
I reckon the police chopper’s five holes are very near the rotor. Shame nobody could save this guy before he tripped...makes me wonder if he didn’t fall into some serious drugs after he got out in ‘14. Or maybe even while in Afghanistan.

That sounds like a soldier with combat experience.
