More evidence that my impending move to Houston is more dangerous than I thought. I’ve seen other articles of violence like this over there just recently.
I may need to be ready for sucker punches (knock out games) and random acts of violence.
The occurrence of violent crime in Houston, TX is 144% higher than the average rate of crime in Texas and 171% higher than the rest of the nation. Similarly, crime involving property stands 55% higher than the remainder of the state of Texas and 81% higher than the nation’s average.
Do the right thing, play it safe, and stay out.
See my post #9. Houston has some bad parts of town but this isn’t one of them. You should worry more about flooding than crime in the nicer neighborhoods.
Houston is huge BTW, something like 80 miles from one side to the other, I have been told.
Naa, plenty of VERY NICE AREAS that are safe in Houston. This area is nice too, but it is very close to downtown and it is very rare for something like that to happen.
And besides, defending yourself to the point of extermination of the perp, even for a property crimes, is protected against both criminal and civil proceedings.
Can’t believe you didn’t get any advice to stay away from Houston, although 0dunga’s ‘diversity in housing’ BS and importation of millions of illegals has reaped havoc everywhere.
One of the happiest days of my life was seeing Houston in my rear view mirror for the last time.
Not sure where you live now, but the super humidity when it’s 90+ degrees in Houston is worse than anything else there.
Didn’t anyone warn you about “little Chicago” ... Harris, Travis and Dallas counties are “no go zones”.... without at least “high powered AR-15s”!
You couldn’t pay me enough to live in Houston and many parts of Dallas but you’d see me there before you’d ever see me in that liberal cesspool of Austin.
Stay away from the areas where they tend to be. And stay armed even in the totally conservative areas.
I live in NW Harris County and it hasn’t moved this far out ....YET!
Was riding a bus in Houston when a conversation started up between me, an Asian woman and a black man from Houston. The Asian was looking for an apartment and got a new job in the medical field. She asked the black man where the safe areas in Houston were. He replied there was none.
