A man was shot in the buttocks around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 26) near the intersection of Delachaise and South Saratoga streets, according to New Orleans police.
A woman who lives in the 2100 block of Delachaise said she saw a group of perhaps five young people fooling around with two parked school buses in the block. It looked like they were shaking the bus and messing with the mirrors, she said.
One of her neighbors approached the group and told them to cut it out, the woman said, and they cursed back at him. They told him "you so and so, who do you think you're talking to," she said. The man retreated to his porch, but one of the people in the group followed with a gun, she said.

Caruso? The primitive tenor? Good one. You made me smile.
For decades, I thought that’s what they were singing; Caruso.
Even though I’ve heard of THEE Robinson Crusoe.
I thought they chose to say it as Caruso b/c that word has three syllables, three beats in the refrain. Oops!
Rumspringa?
I tuned around and he shot me in the ass.
They literally put a cap in his ass.
“Little bastard shot me in the ass.”
I was going by memory. Now you have made me want to watch the movie again.
It should be “Gang of hoodlums shoot man after he stops them from vandalizing school busses”.
Actually the man who was shot was not the man who told the kids to knock it off. That should not surprise you as we know these little “gangsta one a bes” hit more by standers than their intended target.
Now that was confusing. Thanks for the clarification.
All the same to the soulless, eh. Chaos reigns supreme.
