Salt in your blood stream is regulated by the adrenal gland. Sodium is an effect not a cause. If your body calls for more salt, it will get it through some means or another.
I remember when I was in the service 45 years ago, they used to hand out salt tablets so we would retain fluids and not get dehydrated. Salt was used to prevent dehydration for thousands of years. I doubt if our basic physiology has changed in the last 35 or 40 years.
Not any more. That's the job of the Mayor.
Because everyone knows that bureaucrats are so much better at glandular duties than, say, glands.
