A North Carolina school system's proposal to ban skinny jeans and other tight pants has drawn a flood of opposition from students and parents.
The New Hanover County School System in the Wilmington area is considering a policy that prohibits all students from wearing leggings, skinny jeans and "any other excessively tight fitting pants" unless worn with a top or dress that "must cover the posterior in its entirety," local media outlets report.
School Board Vice Chairwoman Jeannette Nichols said the proposal was developed after some "bigger girls" were being bullied because of their tight jeans.

What’s a ROP?
So now what’s going to happen? Are we going to call into question any sort of dress code at all??? Are we going to say that any dress code or regulations somehow violate the civil rights of these kids??? Is there a constitutional right to go to school nude??? Or wear beachwear, underwear, whatever???
I’ve heard ROP be shorthand for Religion of Peace, meaning Islam.
Spandex is a privilege, not a right.
Looks pretty innocent to me.
Skinny jeans are an easy way to identify Hipsters and Poofters. I say let them wear them.
I always found it funny that the groups that like to distinguish themselves as individualists all wear the same getup.
