Can someone tell me what the hell a master’s degree in “Women, Peace and Security” has to do with economics, or why someone with such a degree would be hired to do a job related to economics?

Angelina managed to turn her UN gig into career advancement, making her something like today's Danny Kaye. That's kind of impressive in a purely careerist way. So long as she's not dipping heavily into the public trough, I'm not going to get overheated about stuff like this.
