FWIW, this is a common situation on the Family Feud game show, particularly with Steve Harvey as host; it happens too often not to be pre-planned. Whether it has the effect of bringing in more viewers or not I do not know.

A week ago they had a question on Family Feud, what is half black and half white.

There were two Pale Families on, and they went through every imaginable answer, cookies, zebras etc. except the obvious one.

Finally, one guy says “people”, and Steve Harvey says “the answer I was waiting for”. If I was there, my first answer would have been the one everyone was expecting, Obama.

Watching all those Lily White Folks being PC was a hoot.

That makes it OK.

I noticed that, but attributed it to the show being filmed in Atlanta, where there is a higher concentration of black families to draw from.
