The segregation push by some blacks is an outright admission that they’ll never catch up to non-blacks academically; it is very damaging for them to sit in classrooms listening to lighter-skinned people carry on discussions using big words they don’t understand. They realize their grammar school and high school diplomas were meaningless lies, and that they are YEARS behind...
There was a study that asked at what grade would your parents get mad/upset. For Asians, low A. For whites, usually Bs. For blacks, Cs. Their families has lower expectations/standards.
And then there is the horrible trend of blacks beating up other blacks for “acting white”. When a kid is harassed or attacked for getting As, being on math team, speaking proper English, you have a collective pulling down the achievers. It is utter tribalism - and it enforces mediocrity.
If the black community wants to see more success, the kids who attack other kids for doing better should be whipped. Then again, they aren’t doing much about black kids attacking whites in the knockout game, either, so there’s not much hope of that right now.
