Stalin’s hero was Ivan the Terrible. I think he saw Bolshevism more as a convenient way to gain the kind of power that Ivan had, rather than him being very much an ideological Marxist-Leninist.

No argument especially since Stalin spent a large amount of time and effort in KILLING the true believers. Trotsky went to Mexico, not far enough!
