The articles tone, depth and style is as if written for a scholastic news magazine for 5th graders. That pretty much sums up the NY Post's target audience in maturity (but not necessarily age).

I agree it is tone deaf. It could have been written to show the similarities to the Stalin vs. Trotsky battle to see who would lead the plunder of the public wealth.
