I agree. But if your passion is NeverTrump, why would you waste time posting innocuous articles on FR?
Wouldn’t you go someplace where you could wax eloquent about your passion for Cruz or Mitt or whomever?
I think there are three different answers to your question.
Some are legitimately disappointed with the apparent result and are trying to move on anyway, some of those are posters of very long standing, and should not leave FR or quit posting. This too shall pass, after all. No reason to give up a forum that has offered a lot for many years. So they have changed the subject and continue to post. Good on them for handling it right, and I think that is the majority. We all agree on most things, and that is of great value on many levels.
Some are still seething and just putting out a little misdirection. The invitation to opus out only got a couple of half hearted responses that weren’t even acted on they were so sad. But the seething Cruzlims are hunkered down, waiting for some opportunity shot down the road that they think will be worth the zot or other fallout. I’m sniping back and forth with one on another thread right now. It provides some mild amusement, like plinking rats. There are a few of those.
There are some as others have pointed out who are establishing their FR credentials, before resuming their gaslighting. They tend towards blanket support of neocon idiocies and premises, and may be on a brief hiatus while they figure out what to do. Their command and control has taken a shot right in the middle of the forehead, but that doesn’t keep a good troll down for long.
As a side note, I’m proud of my friend ETL. He is proving his sincerity by not doing any of that. He is probably off oiling a rusty Arisaka and bent blade with coconut oil while he guards his lonely atoll from an amphibious landing of Lavrenti Beria clones funded by Trump. Check in sometime, ETL.
