A number of media sources are reporting there is an official Army investigation of whether Plumley wore and claimed awards unauthorized awards.

CSGMAJ Basil L. Plumley fought through the entire WWII conflict including 2 air drops into Italy, an air drop with the 82nd Airborne on D-Day and another air drop in Operation Market Garden.

He then fought in Korea including an airdrop with the 187th Infantry Regiment.

He was with the 7th Cav in the Battle of the Id Ia Drang Valley.

I'd say he earned his awards the hard way.

But this is the Obama Admin we are talking about so anything is possible.
