What, no Sinclair ZX-80? My first was the ZX-81 in 1981. Great little learning toy.

Sinclair ZX-80

Timex market a lot of the Sinclair computers under their own name. I hat a preproduction copy of the the Timex Sinclair 2068 for review, Timex being based in nearby Waterbury. I was a college kid in Connecticut, and got it delivered to my house by Timex representatives, because I asked them for a review copy on some TV station letterhead by made up on an IBM Selectric with a fancy typeface ball (pre-common laser printing days). They thought it was a real TV station instead of the local access channel at the public library. They came to my parents' house with the computer, and obviously were non-plussed, but said nothing. I reviewed the product on the local access show that nobody watched (it wasn't very good). But I managed to get them a long spread in Video Games magazine later, so I hope they know it was all good. Though I hated the keyboard set up.
