WASHINGTON, May 16 (Reuters) - Americans who travel to North Korea despite ongoing warnings risk "unduly harsh sentences" for actions that would not be considered a crime in the United States, the U.S. State Department said in its latest travel warning on Monday.
The department, in a detailed warning against such travel, cautioned that at least 14 U.S. citizens have been detained in North Korea in the past 10 years and that American travelers should be aware that possessing any media criticizing the country could considered a crime.

Conventional wisdom states that the reason Rodman was such a fan of NK was because he liked having sex with young girls.
He got to do a lot of that in NK.
State Dept is kind of missing the point there.
The Norks want a trickle of visitors because they have some instant hostages available whenever they want to make a point. They want to raise a hue and cry, they just grab whomever is available to make a crisis.
Its not about “crimes”.
Umm.... Don’t travel to N Korea??? I can’t imagine it being a hot vacation spot.
Not a nickle from me to “bail” them out of there. Dummies.
Any American who travels to NK...
The time has come for 51!
