Blevins...was cleaning a .22 caliber pistol in the living room of his Whitewood Drive home

I read a story some years ago about a woman who died from a .22 caliber round that penetrated her skull just below and behind the right ear. She didn't feel it but died some days later.

She was driving along somewhere in New York along the water...perhaps near the airport...with her car windows open. Someone fired a round that traveled over the water at a low angle, skipped off the water and entered the vehicle through the right rear open window.

How the cops ever figured that one out is beyond me.

AS for his not knowing he was shot; My best guess is the blow to the head hurt more than the five and a half millimeter flesh wound in his arm. That plus what ever medication (prescription or otherwise) he was enjoying.
