Evans was walking home from a charity event near 8th St. and Hennepin Ave. early Sunday morning when he was attacked by six people.
Court records say Derrick Houston hit Evans in the head - knocking him down and out.
Then, while on the ground and unconscious, several others rifled through his pants, taking his money.
He believes people should not be allowed to loiter as much as they do, and thinks better lighting would help things.
