Fast forward a few decades and all of a sudden, Ted shows up and gets in bed with GWB and his administration.
If Ted really did drop out of the race because he wanted to put the questions about papa Cruz and LHO relationship to bed, incidents like this will certainly hurt that effort but it could also serve as a warning to others to leave this alone.
