I had a ‘46 Ford pickup. I wanted to restore it, but found out it had a ‘49 Merc motor, ‘50 Ford truck transmission, and rear end out of something else, with the frame cut up and welded to make them fit. It barely ran anyway, so I sold it for what I paid for it ($125). I’d like to have that Merc flathead today.
I thought it was the best looking car I ever saw. Can you see a 16 year old girl in one in 1965.
