Class action suit anyone?
For the majority of Windows 7 and 8 users, the upgrade to Windows 10 either goes pretty well, or can be forestalled successfully.
These stories are from folks who were not so lucky. May you be among the more fortunate ones.
I dunno about that, but the first time that big scary banner came up saying:
It's okay. All your files are right where you left them.I d@mn near had a heart attack.
"And just where the bloody hell ELSE should they be, Microsoft?!?!?"
I came back to my computer once and found it had been automatically upgraded. I got it to reverse by declining the EULA. Then I followed the directions here to remove it entirely: http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/how-stop-windows-10-upgrade-downloading-your-system
Some day, I may consider upgrading. But I do NOT appreciate anything being forced on me, no matter how “beneficial” it’s supposed to be!
I immediately updated all of our computers (over a dozen) to Windows 10 without any hesitancy, difficulties, OR regrets. All work fine—work, personal, and even the kid’s computers.
Sympathy for users that know not how to control their computers, but none for the devil microshaft ...

Is there an easy way to block these reminders from Microsoft?
I was recently upgraded automatically to windows 10 also and i freaked out at 1st. But the getting acquainted period went fairly smoothly. i never turned their help advisor cantana or something like that.
I just went to the web and entered questions and to through it all. But I did switch my browser to Google chrome. Have had no problems
I deliberately upgraded from Win 7 to win 10 yesterday and it went well.
My upgrade went automatically once I got it started, it took about an hour and a half.
The reason is Win 10 restarts your computer several times during the upgrade, until it is complete.
So far so good , everything is working well and no disasters like virus scan getting screwed up or files lost. -Tom
Upgrade is probably so they can spy even more on us.
Wait, isn't that the same thing?
One of Chrome’s updates messed up hubby’s computer a few weeks ago. No, I have never had Chrome and for good reason. He decided to install Windows 10 hoping that would fix the Chrome issue. 10 totally killed his computer. We’ve never wanted Linux but anything had to be better so he had Linux put on and it works better than before. There really should be a way to sue Chrome and MS for messing up people’s computers.

Block Yes to be able to send them a message at the same time better !
I may need 5 or 6 pages to fully detail what I think of Their “FREE UPGRADE”
I was about a month in to Win10 when it took away my wireless connection. I found a restore point, got everything working again, and then disabled updating.
I fail to see the advantage of an operating system I can’t keep updated over an operating system that Microsoft will quit updating, so I’ll keep Win7 on my main machine until it updates without my approval and despite my efforts to block it.
I understand they are slipping their spyware into the latest Win7 updates, so avoiding that probably is no longer an advantage of Win7.
No, what they'll do is ask their 30-something out-of-work son who lives in the basement, "I just clicked on this upgrade, is that OK?"
THAT particular company is even Indian-led.
I upgraded all my PCs to Win10 except one, a legacy machine. I am very happy.
That is proven to be true. Many Internet articles detail the specifics.
WORSE, the new spyware was backported to Win7 & Win8 via updates.
Linux: Free, fast, much more secure than MS-anything, free office apps that are excellent, and BEST...0 lines of MS garbage code and spyware.
No EASY way, you need to remove and prevent reinstall of updates KB
