How dense are you? Do you understand what the expression, “He who pays the piper, calls the tune” means? I don’t support censorship of any kind. Hollywood is caving into to the people who pay them. They could care less about free speech.

Hollywood is of course doing this. Henry Kissinger as a consultant has been a go between who advocates this.
It seldom happens and the ChiComs are an exception in their demands. The NAZI’s did the same thing and Hollywood did capitulate even then, before the war.
What the ChiComs are doing now goes beyond anything in the past, or with other countries.
Generally, studios would make a print with edits or modifications for distribution in other countries if something was objected to.
But the entire film was not changed everywhere. Or in the case now, at the production or pre-production stage when the communists are demanding the movie be made in a certain manner with ChiCom affirming sensibilities.
And of course the Hollywood freaks are happy to comply, that’s a captain obvious point.
Your comments make it sound like you have no problem with the Chinese demanding this.
No other large market does this. Japan does not. Europe does not and they are as large markets.
