A friend of mine bought an old pink Princess telephone from a flea market. When he got it home, he took it apart to clean it. Inside were a set of diamond engagement and wedding rings. He went back to the flea and said to the guy, "I bought that pink Princess phone from you last week, remember?" The guy said yes, but nothing else. So my friend gave him his phone number and said, "If you ever have any more Princess phones, let me know." But the flea never called him back. This way, he left a pathway in case the owner of the Princess phone and the wedding rings traced back their steps, but why should the flea keep the rings if they weren't his to begin with? Finders keepers.

Some people like taking things apart, then reassembling later. They are good friends to have. The idea of cracking a old phone open ‘to clean it’ would never have occurred to me.
