Fifty years ago, Ferrari and Ford engaged in an epic battle for sports car racing supremacy.
In IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship qualifying on Saturday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, a new chapter in the storied battle began. The No. 68 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GTE in the hands of Daniel Serra knocked the No. 67 Ford GT driven by Ryan Briscoe off the class pole position on his final lap to secure the top starting spot in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class for Sundays two-hour Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix.

Speaking of sound, there's that sound from the GT40's bundle-of-snakes exhaust...awesome.
I always though that the GT-40 (1960s) was the most beautiful car ever made.
There are certain vehicles that just melt my heart, and I wish I could have one... The original GT-40 and 1974 Ducati 750SS come to mind...
